04/20/07: Pscale Version 3.2 for MSDOS and Pscale for Win Version 3.4 (requires installing a licensed version of Windows 3.x) work flawlessly on the new Apple Mac Systems running the OS 10.x operating systems. I have currently tested systems using the Intel chipset and will be testing a system using the PowerPC chipset shortly. The PowerPC family will require, at least, G4 or G5 class systems. Note: As of 10/20/08 I have not been able to run Pscale to my satisfaction on the PowerPC (non Intel chipset) family of G4 and G5 systems. I would consider mailing Pscale to anyone with a G4-G5 PowerPC if they would be willing to try to tweak and possibly smooth things out.
Note: Pscale Version 3.2 for MSDOS has been recently updated to include almost every functional feature of Pscale 3.4 for Win.
Both of the above platforms require installing the "open source" DosBox emulator which is quite easy as I had no problems getting things running even having never used a Mac system before. After installation of DosBox for OS 10.x, there are only a few manual tweaks that are necessary. Some people might think I am nuts, but the fact that the computer gaming community has produced DosBox free to the world, primarily to allow legacy MSDOS games to continue, is fantastic as it allows other industry specific programs like Pscale to continue to be used. DosBox is a great contribution to the worldwide computer userbase.
I am currently preparing install instruction for this environment and will be posting these shortly.
Ptools on Mac OS 10.x: This has a lesser priority at the current time
as the Ptools userbase is smaller and the options for Client Management systems
are much greater.
